Mobile based Sensor Fusion (combining GPS, BLE, WiFi Direct, Compass and Accelerometer)

We are looking for a developer experienced developing algorithms, specifically using smartphone sensor data. This project requires a developer experienced in visualizing and implementing complex algorithm.

This is NOT a project for general mobile app developers.

We are building a system which will allow a smartphone in a small physical space (< 50m) to construct a 2D map of nearby phones. The algorithm does NOT use GPS.

To create the code, the developer will implement a triangulation algorithm, integrating computed distances to nearby phones.
  1. Each phone will query nearby phones BLE signal, and determine distance (A -> B distance)
  2. Each phone will then query nearby phones for their reciprocal distance (B <- A distance)
  3. The resulting data will be used to construct a 2D triangle mesh (see research papers below)
Developer should be experienced in:
  1. Mobile app development
  2. Creating data structures to collect and store smartphone sensor data
  3. Triangulation algorithms using geolocation and sensor data to build a triangle mesh
  4. Noise reduction in sensor data
  5. Weighting/averaging of data with slightly different timestamps for collection
We have a particular triangulation algorithm in mind, and the developer will need to discuss (after NDA) with the project manager.

The developer should also be comfortable reading and analyzing previous attempts to create triangle meshes. Good communication skills are a must - the developer must be able to clearly explain how the algorithm was implements, and develop unit tests which can be used to assess its function.
